What is Frigidity ?
This article tries to educate all as to what is frigidity and some of the remedies that are useful to help with this condition.
Frigidity is marked by abnormal sexual indifference, especially in women. The term ‘frigidity’ is generally used to describe a long- term lack of sexual drive and response. In advancing age, men or women may have the symptoms of frigidity. Low libido or frigidity can affect one’s married life. Low libido affects both sexes but the term frigidity is mostly applied to women and sex drive may vary from person to person.
The causes could include Anxiety, fear of guilt about sexual involvement, fear of pregnancy, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, etc.
Frigidity remedies that are useful-
Eat Alfalfa sprouts, Avocado and fresh eggs regularly.
Add onions to diet.
Eat three figs with honey daily, followed by a glass of buttermilk after an hour.
Wild yams contain a natural steroid called Dehydro epiandrosterone (DHEA). This natural steroid is useful to increase sexual vigor.
Avoid stress and strain, as it has bad effects on libido. So, avoid stress and try to relax the mind.
Zinc is useful to treat frigidity. Oysters are rich in Zinc and are very useful for both sexes, especially in stimulating testosterone production in men.
One should stay away from smoggy environment which contains toxins, thereby weakening the immune system.
Eat Brown rice.
Eat Almonds and Figs.
Body massage with Sesame oil is advisable.
Take Ashwagandha (Winter cherry) Powder 3 gms with one cup of milk twice daily. Ashwagandha acts as an adaptogen and as an aphrodisiac. One can also take this as an herbal supplement.
Ginger is advisable, as it is equally effective in both men and women. Take one cup of milk and add freshly chopped ginger ½ teaspoon to it and drink it.
Avoid Red meat and sugars.
If there is vitamin deficiency, then it may affect the Estrogen level in women, due to which vagina does not get lubricated. Women experiencing this condition should take multi-vitamins daily.
Vitamin B helps to reduce anxiety. Bioflavonoids help to increase the energy level.
One could also take a blend of the Powder of Velvet Bean (Mucuna pruriens) one part, Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Guduchi (Tinospora-cordifolia), 3 parts each, Asparagus racemosus, (Shatavari); Tribeclus-terestris (Gokhru) 2 parts each. Take this powder, 1 teaspoon twice daily or take supplements that have these kinds of ingredients.
Soak about 7 Raw-Almond seeds in water overnight. Next morning, peel off the skin of the Almonds and then make a paste of it. Mix this paste in a cup of warm milk. Then add 1 teaspoon of clarified butter, sugar and a pinch of saffron (Crocus sativus) to it and drink this mix. This delicious recipe helps to treat frigidity.
Fenugreek seeds 1 teaspoon daily are also advisable. If seeds are not available take Fenugreek as a supplement.
Crush one clove of Garlic and then add it to ½ a cup of milk. Simmer it in a pan slowly for about 5 minutes, cool it down and then drink this.
