Home beauty tips using every day products–
Drink lot of water; about 8 to 10 glasses daily and this keeps skin moist.
Make a powder of Lentils and mix this with water or milk. Apply this on the face. Leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash it off with water.
Smash Tomatoes and apply it on the skin daily. It will help to increase the glow of the face or any portions of body where it is applied.
Coconut milk application is advisable for a smooth skin.
Apply Honey on the face once daily.
Mash a ripened banana along with milk and apply it on the face; after 10 minutes wash it off with water.
Drinking Milk is also useful as it nourishes the skin.
For dry skin apply a paste of crushed Peaches.
Grate Potatoes and extract the juice from them. Apply this juice on the face. Potato juice gives tightening effect to the skin. It is also useful to treat puffiness around the eyes.
Cleanse the skin twice daily in the morning and in the evening using a facial scrub product.
Have facial massages once a month as this relaxes the muscles and skin.
Mix ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder and apply it on the face and on hands. Rinse off with water after 20 minutes. Look at Turmeric Curcumin supplements also as an alternative.
Apply Aloe Vera gel to sun exposed areas. Regular application helps to remove the patches caused by sun burns.
Olive Oil is good for dry skin.
Take 2 Almonds Mix them with milk, grind them in a grinder and apply this on the face.
Use Barley flour as a face pack.
Mix sandalwood 2 parts and 1 part Indian madder, add water to it. Apply this on the face to enhance complexion. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash it off.
Avoid oily, spicy, fried foods.
Always eat seasonal fruits.
Make juice of carrots and add milk to it and apply it on the face before showering. Carrots contain Vitamin A which is a very useful vitamin for the skin. Apply it around the eyes also.
Oatmeal is beneficial for skin. Mix Oat meal 2 parts and 1 part of Almond oil; and apply it on the face. Leave this mixture on the face for about 20 minutes. Then wash it off with water. One should also look at Almond based night cream products.
For sunburns, flesh of the fruit of white gourd can be used as a face pack, especially for oily skin.
For normal and oily skin apply egg whites and for dry skin apply egg yolk for a few minutes and then wash it off with water.
While going out, cover with a scarf. Try to avoid exposure of skin to harsh Ultra violet Rays.
Make a paste of a crushed Apple and apply it on the face. Rub the Apple skin on the feet and hands so that they become soft.
Take a cup of milk and add a handful of Rose Petals to it. Mix it and grind it. Then apply this on the face and hands; after 10 minutes wash this off with water.
Peel and chop a cucumber. Squeeze lemon on to the Cucumber slice. After an hour rub this slice on face and not on the areas around the eyes. Wash this off after half an hour with cold water. Also one can use Saffron & Cucumber Under eye cream products.
Apricot contains Vitamin A. It also contains poly saturated fats. Use Apricot Skin creams to rejuvenate the skin.
Home beauty tips using herbs–
Take daily Indian gooseberry fruit an Antioxidant and a good source of Vitamin C.
peppermint leaves have antiseptic, ant irritant properties.
Holy Basil has antiseptic, anti irritant properties and also is effective against acne and pimples. It stimulates the skin and should be consumed daily.
Application of Grape seed oil makes the skin supple.
Neem again has antiseptic, ant irritant properties and helps with Acne.
Generally dietary ingredients like fruit extracts are accepted well and hence are considered safe. When using any herbs first one should do a patch test on the skin. In case of any allergic reaction one should discontinue and consult a beautician or a Medical Doctor.
